Francisco Romano Guillemin (1884 - 1950)

Born in Tlapa, Guerrero in 1884. Romano Guillemin studied painting in Puebla and later attended the Academia de San Carlos, where he became a disciple of Antonio Fabres, German Gedovius and Leandro Izaguirre. He was professor at the Escuela de Bellas Artes and in 1934 visited Paris. His works are considered among the best examples of Mexican Impressionism. He died in Cuautla Morelos in 1950.
