A nicely carved 18th Century French hand-carved ivory figure of Christ on a cross. This piece is excellent condition and with its original touches of polychromy. The figure is set on a wood cross and comes from R. Osmont (see label on the back) who was a prestigious antiques dealer in Paris and operated in a house where Victor Hugo once lived. The cross is standing on a richly decorated silver base.
