18C MANUEL DE ARBURU Oil MEXICAN COLONIAL RELIGIOUS ART

Four oil paintings on board with religious images signed by Manuel de Arburu. The artist is known to be active in Toluca during the 1770's. The paintings show San Agustin (St Augustin), La Impresion de Llagas (The Stigma of St Francis), La Samaritana (The Good Samaritan), and Baptismo de Christo (The Baptism of Christ). This last one has some damage on the right (see pictures). They are all original from Colonial times in 18th Century Mexico and have no restorations or damage whatsoever.
